School Policies
Student Conduct
Students enrolled at the School are expected to maintain the appearance and behavior that are commensurate of a professional in the natural health field. Courtesy, sensitivity and respect toward other students, staff and clients are expected at all times. Any disruptive behavior, dishonest acts or the unlawful possession, distribution or use of illegal substances will not be tolerated.
Clothes and attire worn in the classroom and clinic should be clean, pressed and appropriate for the setting. The student’s personal hygiene is also of utmost importance and necessitates good grooming and cleanliness.
Student Complaints/Appeals
Any complaint/appeal a student may have concerning School policy, staff or a fellow student should be presented in person to the Director. All grievances will be handled on an individual basis in a fair and timely manner.
Attendance
As punctuality and commitment are necessary for success in any profession, the students are required to attend all classes in all courses. A student will be considered tardy if he/she arrives 10 minutes past the time scheduled for class to begin. Attendance is monitored daily, and all tardies, early time-outs and absences must be made up before the termination of the MODULE in which they occur.
Grading
Students will be required to complete written, oral and practical examinations to monitor their progress in each course. Academic requirements for each MODULE are based on the following grading scale:
- 93%-100% = A = 4.0 GPA
- 84%-92% = B = 3.0 GPA
- 75%-83% = C = 2.0 GPA
- 66%-74% = D = 1.0 GPA
- 65%-0% = F = 0 GPA
To be considered as making satisfactory progress and to achieve graduate status, students must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average (GPA) for each course taken.
