Initial study will include historical background, physiological effects, indications/contraindications, establishing therapist-client contact, draping techniques and familiarization with various tools of the trade (oils, creams, tables etc…). The balance of the course covers basic Swedish Massage technique and present the student with his/her first hands-on clinical experience interfacing with clients in a fee-for-service setting.
