MODULE 1, 2 |  350 Hours
Students will gain a thorough knowledge of the human body with an integraded study of the human body in which structure and function are viewed in both normal and abnormal situations. Instruction progresses from the cellular to the system level, emphasizing the intricate interactions between the structures and function necessary to promote health.

The students will gain a thorough knowledge of the human body by first establishing an understanding of the structures and organization of the human body by examining the following major body systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, excretory, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, immune, endocrine, and reproductive. The lectures and laboratory exercises are designed to foster an appreciation for the relationship between the science of the body systems and the healing art of massage.

MODULE 1 |  100 Hours
Students will receive an understanding of the structural and functional changes related to disease processes including etiology, pathogenesis, morphologic changes, functional derangements, and clinical significance as it relates to the practice of massage. This understanding is accomplished by examining the terminology unique to the study of abnormal anatomy and physiology as well as the specific disease and infectious processes pertaining to massage therapy that result from emotional, physical and mental stresses to the human body.

MODULE 1, 2 |  125 Hours

Initial study will include historical background, physiological effects, indications/contraindications, establishing therapist-client contact, draping techniques, and familiarization with various tools of the trade. Study will continue with the study, practice, and application of reflexology and deep tissue massage, sports massage, on–site chair massages, and pregnancy massage.

MODULE 2, 3 |  125 Hours
Providing students the opportunity to experience working in a clinical practice allows them to develop the confidence needed to promote and maintain a healthy professional practice. Participants begin to encounter the professional environment and synthesize their clinical skills and procedures, refine technique, redefine professional goals and discuss case profiles under clinical supervision.

MODULE 2 |  100 Hours
Students will acquire the tools to create, maintain, and grow a professional and ethical massage therapy business. Topics covered include professional ethics, legal and malpractice concerns, office records and protocol, financial management, business promotion, state laws, rules and regulations, and tax information.

MODULE 3 |  100 Hours
Students will be made aware of sanitation and sterilization processes, including disease and infection prevention as it applies to massage therapy as well as universal precautions. This course also focuses on the daily lifestyle practices that affect ones physical and mental well being, including proper nutrition, exercise, rest habits, stress management, and environmental concerns.

MODULE 3 |  100 Hours
This course discusses the theory and practice of Hydrotherapy, the scientific application of water, in all three of its physical forms, for the purposes of therapy and rehabilitation. Students will learn and practice the correct use of hot, cold, contrast applications, ice packs, hot packs, paraffin baths, salt glows, sauna, steam and related techniques.

With an emphasis on hands-on learning, our First Aid/CPR/AED courses give you the skills to save a life. All course options align with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs and are available in classroom and blended learning formats. Certification is issued upon successful completion.
