Our Purpose... to serve as facilitators in helping others achieve health and well-being, thereby empowering them to fulfill their purpose in life.
It is our belief at MSM that each therapist serves as a "facilitator" in helping others achieve optimal health and well-being. Such a belief necessitates a "holistic" approach to health in which the human body's physical, mental, and spiritual entities are viewed as constantly seeking to maintain balance and harmony. It also requires a very fundamental understanding of the numerous structural (anatomy) and functional (physiology) relationships that exist within the body, and how the skilled therapist can intervene and influence these in a positive, health-promoting way.
The 9-month (1000 hours) program mandated by the State of Nebraska to become a licensed massage therapist is one of the most stringent in the nation. Our 2000 square foot facility includes a waiting room and reception area, 5 private therapy rooms for student clinic, a large classroom, a kitchenette, and men and women's restrooms. Class sizes are kept small (12 maximum) to allow an excellent teacher/student ratio, and to allow students access to the many anatomical models and learning aids. A variety of teaching methods blend audio, visual, and hands-on procedures in a fun and easy-to-learn format. We have worked hard at MSM to provide the faculty, staff, and curriculum that enables our students to become the competent, confident, and successful practitioners needed today!
